Forward. Always.

This picture about sums up my mood after directing 10 races in the dead of winter-  The day-to-day activities of race directing are tiring, draining and worth little more than my salary in 2011 as an Americorps employee, aka a "Profesional volunteer"...that being said, I have been enriched, blessed and amazed by the growth of Team AMP, Winter Wild and the athletes and family that make these endeavors possible.  I would not have it any other way!  However, it is break time, so onward we go!
Headed to @traprock 50K in 2 weeks and I couldn't be more excited!  Training is going surprisingly well given the stress of the last few months (see car accident, new house, diabetes medication issues, blah blah) https://www.strava.com/athletes/22324471
and I am ready to battle against some of the best in New England!      Excited to join Team AMP studs Dave Caron, Iain Ridgway and Jac and Christine (in the short course) and give it a GO!  We are blessed to have found this sport and it is awesome to have found each-other!  Looking forward to this one then a short break before Wapack and back 21.5-  Looking like a strong field again, I Hope to get back to the podium after falling short last season in my favorite race!  I had originally scheduled the M-S (Monadnock-Sunapee) FKT attempt directly after Wapack, but I may push that back again to June or July (I havn't found the right diabetes charity and after Wapack the priority turns to moving into our new House)!!
The rest of my schedule remains intact!  I am excited to race for our mighty little club, the vision of Chad Denning, Team AMP (Atheletes in Multi-sport Partnerships) with additional support from Julbo Eyewear, Omer & Bobs Sportshop and potentially a new shoe sponsor to be announced later in the season...
Happy trails to all, come look us up anytime you come to the UV of NH and VT or to our new headquarters (in May) in New London NH...I'd love to personally take you for a spin on the local trail, a gravel ride on the backroads or a paddle on one of our many crystal clear lakes!!!
I Hope your training and racing is going well, Happy Trails and oh yeah...Its FINALLY SPRING!
